Our Historical Journey
The school started in 2000 as Musinga secondary school O & A level. It was taken over by Mr. Miramuzi Bathlenew in 2005. It was shifted from Musinga to Rwamabondo in 2007 and changed it to City star Secondary school (Kibatsi Branch) under the head teacher Mr. Tumwebaze James from 2007-2010.
Mr. Musinguzi Vanansio took over as the headteacher from 2011 to 2012 and led the transition from private ownership to government ownership. The government of Uganda bought the school from Mr. Muramuzi Bathlenew and was named Kibatsi seed secondary school and was put under Ms. Atukunda Gertrude as the headteacher. Member of the BOG and parents requested the ministry of education and sports to change the school from Kibasti seed school to Kibasti High school which was granted in the same year 2012. Ms. Atukunda Gertrude was transferred in early 2017 and Mr. Kiteezaala Twahili took over the school up to date.
The school since then has made progress in term of instilling knowledge skills, values and norms. In 2017, the school produced one of the best student in the country Mr. Mugabe Gilbert who scored 20 points at S.6
The school started in 2000 by Dr. Kamugisha as Musinga secondary school O & A level.
In 2005, another investor Mr. Muramuzi Bartholomew came in to boost the school.
In 2007, the school shifted from Musinga to Rwamabondo town and its name changed to City Star Secondary school (Kibasti Branch). Its management was taken over by Mr. Muzinguzi Vanansio who led the school until 25th.06.2012 when it was bought by government.
Its name changed from City Star Secondary school (Kibasti Branch) to Kibasti seed school. This transition was managed by Musinguzi Vanansio as a headteacher who was later transferred to St. Pauls Kagongi secondary school in Mbarara district.
After the departure of Mr. Musinguzi Vanansio he was replaced by Ms. Atukunda Gertrude as a headteacher the same year 2012. She led the school up to early 2017. During her leadership, the school management bodies led the BOG requested the Ministry of Education and sports to change the name of the school from Kibasti seed secondary to Kibasti High School. The request was honoured and the current name of the school is Kibasti High School.
Early 2017, Atukunda Gertrude was transferred to Rushanje Girls and was replaced with Mr. Kiteezaaha Twahili who is still in charge of the administration of the school up to date.
During its existance, it has made progress in terms of instilling knowledge, skills, values and norms. For instance in 2017, it produced one of the best students in the country Mr. Mugabe Gilbert who scored 20 points at S.6
2010, the school produced one of the best candidate at S.4 Mr. Bob with 10 aggregates.
